I don't mean to be annoying but thread after thread gets hijacked by people not even responding to the original poster and the information I am seeking would be very useful to people interested in this system.Īs it happens, I have built several "FrankenKameras" (so-called because they're built out of bits and pieces harvested from several cameras) similar to what you've proposed over the past few years and have achieved varying degrees of success with each of them. Anybody who wants to discuss the merits of the native lens system for this camera can start a new thread. *Please don't respond unless you're offering specific info in regards to my questions or have input concerning the building of an affordable technical camera. On the other hand the ability to shift the camera as opposed to the lens is huge in my mind and keeps the Cambo in the running along with a simpler and well designed system. The Cambo Actus is my other option here but I really love the ability of the GX680 to act as an SLR when composing and the price is steep for the Cambo actus.

If I were to buy a lens made especially for digital would it not perform well on film? If I were to spend the money I would want to have the option of shooting on both at that particular focal length. I'm assuming those type of lenses have a helical focusing system and would not work with a bellows system unless I can get close enough? Which is how close? Do many of those lenses also come without the focusing apparatus. I am interested in the lenses often seen on Cambo wide tech cameras. What are the dimensions of the opening for the V back adapter and or stitching back for the GX680?
GX680 VS MAMIYA TILTSHIFT FULL
I am new to this world and currently work with full frame and canon ts-e lenses so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am interested in acquiring high quality LF/med format glass in the range from 35mm to 65mm for architecture mostly and would love any suggestions that may work with this beast.

I don't know a lot about them but I am curious if anybody has technical info/experience on focusing distances and movements when using this adapter in relation to its limitations. I am interested in using Super wide's (for 4x5) possibly digitar type lenses. Also, there is no info or pictures online of the LF adapter in use on this camera. I know they will work with p45 backs but I don't know if they will fit the sensor size of the p65 or IQ180. The main questions I need answered before moving forward concern the dimensions of the digital back adapters that were made for the GX680. I have also seen an adapter for the back that would make for an EF camera body attachment which I would be interested in using the Sony Ar7iii with metabones adapter. I have only used the 65mm and 180 5.6 on the system but I wasn't entirely impressed and I am looking at a LF lens adapter for the front and possibly a Digital back adapter for the back along with shooting 6x8 film. The GX680 has a lot of options for building a cheaper one.
